Pakistan's squash star Ashab Irfan has won the Rochester ProAm in the USA.
The journey to victory commenced with a bye in the first round, allowing Ashab Irfan to conserve energy for the challenges ahead. In the second round, he faced off against M. Lacrois, securing a commanding 3-0 victory with set scores of 11-5, 11-8, and a closely contested 14-12.
Undeterred by the competition, Irfan continued his winning streak in the quarter-final, defeating A. Onaopemipo in straight sets with scores of 11-9, 11-8, and 11-9.
As the stakes heightened in the semi-final, Irfan faced a formidable opponent in R. Palamino. Despite dropping two sets, Irfan displayed resilience and determination, ultimately prevailing with a hard-fought 3-2 victory.
